An event to mark the laying of the cornerstone on the ‘Ajamaja’ commercial and office building in the Rotermann Quarter was held on 4 March 2020.
Gerd Müller, the chairman of the management board of Nordecon AS, says the construction of the building has already posed a number of challenges for the site team. “Working in such restrictive conditions, with commercial and residential buildings all around you, is a tough ask,” he said. “It means a lot closer attention has to be paid in both the design and construction phases.”
Designing content for this creation of KOKO Arhitektid is a team of construction specialists and structural engineers from Sirkel & Mall. The building is due for completion in 2021 and will add 12,000 m² of space to the Rotermann Quarter, with an office hotel, long-awaited new stores and a number of restaurants.
