The old two-storey hotel building here, which was in poor condition, was to be almost completely demolished, with only the concrete parts of the basement level being utilised in the construction of the new building.
In the course of renovation, the former hotel would be transformed into a modern apartment building, gaining two extra floors in the process. A total of 18 apartments ranging in size from 63-109 m2 were planned for the four-storey complex, along with a gym and other spaces for free-time activities.
The building would be surrounded by a fenced recreational area and playground with room for a bonfire site. The apartment balconies, each 2.5 metres deep, would enjoy beautiful views over the fjord framed by the building’s timber posts and beams.
The three apartments on the lowest floor would have private entrances opening onto the garden in front of the building.
The building would come with its own marina of floating docks
Enclosed gross area of building: 1765 m2
